Warmex XLR adapter cable
This adapter cable is manufactured by Warmex for programming mobility equipment fitted with a 3-pin XLR charging socket. It provides the connection between the standard 4-pin Curtiss-Wright/PG Drives Technology programming cable and the female XLR charging socket on the mobility device.
The adapter is designed for use with the PC Mobility Programmer software. This XLR version cannot be used with the SP1 handheld programmer.
Application with VR2 and VSI
The adapter can be used with the following wheelchair control systems:
- VR2
- nVR2
- NewVSI
- VSI
Where programming via the charging socket is supported, the PC Mobility Programmer can be connected to the control system using this adapter.
Application with S-Drive mobility scooters
Certain mobility scooters equipped with an S-Drive control system can also be programmed via the charging socket. This function is not supported by every mobility scooter model.
Whether a specific model supports programming via the charging socket can be established in practice by connecting the adapter. If no connection can be established, the particular model does not support this programming method. Connecting the adapter in this situation will not cause any damage. The standard programming cable should then be connected directly to the S-Drive control system.
Connections
The adapter has a 3-pin male XLR cable connector on one end, which connects to the female XLR charging socket on the mobility device. The other end connects to the standard 4-pin Curtiss-Wright/PG Drives Technology programming cable.
The adapter cable is approximately 25 cm long.
Please note: This adapter is intended for use by qualified technicians and service personnel who have access to the appropriate programming software and programming cable. The adapter itself contains no programming electronics and does not replace the standard programming cable.
