Softball joystick knob Ø35 mm for R-net/VR2/VSI

The Ø35 mm softball joystick knob is an alternative to the standard joystick knob used on control systems from the R-net, VR2 and VSI ranges. These systems are developed by PG Drives Technology and are widely applied on powered wheelchairs.

With a diameter of approximately 35 mm, this knob is intended for operation with the fingers. It is made of EVA material: durable and firm, yet noticeably softer and less hard than a standard plastic joystick knob. This creates a more comfortable point of contact without feeling spongy or unstable.

In daily practice, this type of knob is frequently chosen by users who drive for longer periods using their fingers and are looking for additional cushioning or a more pleasant tactile feel. From fitting experience, this version is for example often appreciated by people with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Nevertheless, the final choice always remains personal and should be part of an individual assessment.

Compared with larger softball models, which are mainly aimed at palm operation and gross motor control, the Ø35 mm version offers a solution for users who continue to steer with their fingers but want to avoid the hard feel of the standard knob.
