Piko SW5R – 5-way control module for wheelchair control

The Piko SW5R is a compact 5-way control module used in special control solutions for powered wheelchairs. The module combines five individual push switches in one clearly arranged control surface: four positioned around a central button. On the module itself, this version is designated as SW-5R.

The SW5R is designed for integration into control systems where multiple functions need to be operated from a single control point. In practice, this module is frequently used in combination with Omni control systems featuring assignable buttons, RBI modules and input-output modules. Thanks to the SUB-D9 connector, the module can be connected directly to a wide range of interface modules without the need for additional electronics.

The housing is made of plastic and has a low-profile design, allowing easy positioning within existing control setups. The module has a diameter of approximately 49 mm and a total height of around 13 mm. The fixed connection cable has a length of 1.58 metres, providing sufficient flexibility for mounting and cable routing.

The Piko SW5R offers a practical and well-organised solution for custom control applications where standard push buttons or joystick control do not provide sufficient functionality and multiple functions need to be logically grouped.
