Application and use

For users of portable oxygen solutions, it is essential to remain mobile and independent outside the home. This oxygen equipment holder has been developed specifically for the CAIRE Stroller, a portable liquid oxygen system (Liquid Oxygen Portable). The holder allows the oxygen unit to be securely mounted to a wheelchair or mobility scooter, keeping the user’s hands free and preventing the device from shifting or falling while driving.

Safe transport of oxygen equipment

Oxygen containers are pressurised and portable oxygen devices are sensitive to impact. A stable mounting solution is therefore essential. Using this holder significantly reduces the risk of dropping or damaging the equipment, contributing to both user safety and the service life of the oxygen system. The holder is suitable for daily use and does not negatively affect the driving characteristics of the mobility aid.

Construction and finish

The holder is manufactured from steel and finished with a black coating. This provides a durable appearance and protects against wear during intensive use. The design is intended for long-term use in care and mobility applications.

Mounting options

A mounting plate is supplied as standard, allowing the holder to be attached to the armrest of a wheelchair. This mounting method is suitable for chairs where the armrests are fixed to the side of the backrest. The mounting plate is provided with holes for M8 bolts with a centre distance of 41 mm.

In addition, the mounting plate includes two holes that allow the use of a Stauff clamp, group 3. This makes it possible to attach the mounting plate to a round tube, offering additional flexibility for installation on different types of wheelchairs or mobility scooters. The clamp and mounting bolts are not included.
