External operation of the turn indicators

Mobility scooters commonly use push buttons and membrane keypads to operate functions such as the turn indicators. For users with limited sensation, strength or motor skills in their hands, these buttons can be difficult to operate. With this modification, the turn indicators of the control panel can be operated externally using a rocker switch.

WRS modifies the existing control panel of the mobility scooter for this purpose. The original turn indicator controls are adapted to allow operation via an external rocker switch. This makes it easier for the user to operate the turn indicators while driving and helps them make full use of the available functionality of the mobility scooter.

Suitable for Sterling Elite²

This modification is suitable for the following Sterling Elite² versions:

• Sterling Elite² XS
• Sterling Elite² RS
• Sterling Elite² Plus

The modification can be carried out on both types of control panel used with these mobility scooters:

• Basic display
• Luxe display with LCD screen

The same modification can be ordered under article number AANP.112 for both versions.

Modification by Warmex

This product is a modification of an existing control panel and is not intended as a standalone component for installation by the dealer or end user.

The control panel must be supplied to Warmex for modification. Warmex carries out the modification and prepares the control panel for external operation of the turn indicators.

The position of the rocker switch is determined according to the control panel version and the desired operating position.

This modification is primarily carried out on behalf of mobility scooter dealers, mobility equipment suppliers and service companies.

Sterling Elite² Mini

A similar modification is available for the Sterling Elite² Mini. The control panel of the Elite² Mini differs in size, however, and therefore uses a separate article number: AANP.112M.
