Dynamic DX-REM48A REV C Master Remote

The Dynamic DX-REM48A REV C is an original Master Remote for power wheelchairs equipped with a Dynamic DX control system. Together with a DX power module, such as the DX-PMB, this controller forms the user interface of the wheelchair control system.

The DX-REM48A is the Plus version of the well-known DX-REM48 and offers two additional connections for external switches. This allows users with limited hand function to connect, for example, an additional on/off switch or function switch.

This version is supplied as new original warehouse stock. The Master Remote itself is unused and in new condition. Due to long-term storage, the original packaging may show minor signs of wear.

Improved REV C version

The DX-REM48A REV C is the later version of the REM48A series. Compared with the earlier REV A versions, this version offers improved hardware capabilities and more options for configuration settings.

A REV C version can be used as a replacement for an older REV A Master Remote. After installation, the Master Remote must always be programmed for the specific power wheelchair.

Connections and functions

The DX-REM48A has two connections for external switches with standard 3.5 mm jack connectors.

These connections are intended for:

• on/off operation;
• navigating through wheelchair functions, such as driving profiles or lighting (depending on the configuration).

The functions of these switch inputs are predefined and cannot be freely assigned.

The control unit features a 16-button keypad with LED indicators for each function and an LED battery level indicator.

Programming and replacement

The DX-REM48A Master Remote is part of a complete Dynamic DX wheelchair control system and cannot be used as a universal plug-and-play replacement without configuration.

Settings are normally adjusted using Dynamic Wizard programming software by a dealer or specialised technical service provider.

When replacing an existing DX-REM48A, the configuration from the original Master Remote can be transferred and programmed into the replacement unit. We can assist with this process if the original controller is sent to us.

To prepare a configuration, we need information such as:

• front-wheel or rear-wheel drive;
• maximum wheelchair speed;
• available electric functions such as backrest adjustment, tilt adjustment, seat lift and leg rest adjustment.

Compatibility

The Dynamic DX-REM48A was widely used on power wheelchairs equipped with Dynamic DX control systems, including various models from the Puma series.

Compatibility depends on the complete wheelchair configuration and the installed DX modules.
