Dynamic DX-REM48 REV A Master Remote refurbished

The Dynamic DX-REM48 REV A is a Master Remote for power wheelchairs equipped with a Dynamic DX control system. Together with a DX power module, such as the DX-PMB, this controller forms the user interface of the modular Dynamic DX system.

The DX-REM48 is the standard version within the REM48 series and does not have connections for external switches. For this application, the DX-REM48A Plus version is available.

The REV A version is the original hardware generation of the DX-REM48 series. This Master Remote is mainly suitable for existing older DX configurations where this version was originally installed.

Refurbished modules receive a second life with us. Before a module is supplied again, it is technically inspected and reconditioned where required.

We check, among other things, the operation of the joystick, keypad, charging connector and the overall condition of the module. We also verify that the version and internal configuration correspond with the type being supplied.

This ensures you receive an original Dynamic component that is suitable for reliable reuse.

Because refurbished modules have previously been used, the housing may show minor signs of use or cosmetic marks from their previous service life. The technical condition is our primary focus.

REV A version

The DX-REM48 REV A is the first hardware generation within the REM48 series.

This version has a smaller internal memory compared with the later REV C version and therefore offers fewer possibilities for configuration and programming.

A DX-REM48 REV A cannot automatically be selected as a replacement for every DX-REM48 or DX-REM48A configuration.

For newer Dynamic DX systems, power wheelchairs with multiple electric functions or more complex settings, a REV C version may be required due to its extended programming capabilities.

Controls and functions

The Dynamic DX-REM48 REV A features:

• 16-button control via keypad;
• LED indicators for the different functions;
• LED battery indicator;
• connection for the joystick module.

The controller provides access to the main functions of the power wheelchair, such as driving and available electric adjustments.

The DX-REM48 REV A does not have connections for external switches. For this purpose, the DX-REM48A Plus version is available.

Programming and replacement

The DX-REM48 REV A Master Remote is part of a complete Dynamic DX wheelchair control system. After replacement, the module must be programmed for the specific power wheelchair.

The existing settings can sometimes be transferred from the original controller and programmed into the replacement Master Remote.

We can assist with this process if the original controller is sent to us.

For a suitable configuration, we need information such as:

• front-wheel or rear-wheel drive;
• maximum wheelchair speed;
• available electric functions, such as:
  • backrest adjustment;
  • tilt adjustment;
  • seat lift;
  • leg rest adjustment.

Full programming and configuration require Dynamic Wizard software. This software is intended for dealers and specialised technical service providers and is not available for private users.

Compatibility

The Dynamic DX-REM48 was used on various power wheelchairs from the period when the Dynamic DX control system was introduced.

This Master Remote was used on older models from the Puma and Beatle series, including the Booster Puma, the later Moving People / Handicare Puma Yes and the Beatle Yes.

The Beatle Yes was based on a similar concept as the Puma Yes, but featured a different drive configuration with front-wheel drive.

The DX-REM48 REV A is mainly suitable as a replacement when the existing wheelchair configuration was originally built with this older version.

Actual compatibility depends on the complete wheelchair configuration and the installed Dynamic DX modules.
