Rollinova rollator holder back mounting RHI200RM

The Rollinova back mounting (RHI200RM) is a specific solution for transporting a side-folding rollator on a mobility scooter. This version is mounted to the side of the backrest and allows the rollator to be carried without modifications to the frame or the use of a separate mounting adapter.

By taking the rollator along, longer distances can be covered while the user remains mobile at the destination. The back mounting is mainly applied when other mounting options, such as bumper or seat mounting, are not possible or not desired.

This version is used by mobility equipment suppliers and technical service providers looking for a practical solution within the existing construction of the mobility scooter.

Mounting to the backrest of the seat

The RHI200RM is attached to the mounting points of the armrests on the side of the backrest. This uses two fixing points with M8 bolts.

It is important that the centre-to-centre distance between these mounting points is 40 mm. Installation is only possible if this specification matches.

Because existing mounting points are used, no separate mounting adapter is required.

Full seat rotation remains possible

An important advantage of the back mounting is that the seat of the mobility scooter remains fully rotatable. The rollator holder is positioned outside the rotation range of the seat, eliminating the risk of contact with the body panels during rotation.

This makes this version suitable in situations where the swivel function of the seat is essential for getting on and off.

Higher lifting height during use

Compared to other Rollinova versions, the rollator is positioned higher with back mounting. In practice, this means the rollator needs to be lifted approximately 50 cm to place it into the holder.

This makes this version less suitable for users with limited arm strength or mobility and is an important consideration when selecting this system.

Alternatives within the Rollinova range

In many situations, one of the other versions is preferred:

• bumper mounting (RHI200BM) → low lifting height and widely applicable
• seat mounting (RHI200ZM) → simple installation without adapter

The back mounting is mainly used when these alternatives are technically not possible or when full seat rotation must be maintained.
