Specs IC switch Ø35 mm (incl. interchangeable color caps)

The AbleNet Specs IC is a reliable and versatile momentary switch for controlling communication devices, powered wheelchairs, computers, and other switch-based applications. The switch requires a low activation force of approximately 111 grams, making it suitable for users with limited strength. The 35 mm diameter activation surface supports easier operation for users with reduced or less precise motor control.

The Specs IC is widely used within AAC solutions (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), allowing users to control communication devices, software, or functions through one or more switches. In addition, this switch is commonly applied in powered wheelchair control systems, where switches are used to provide alternative access to wheelchair functions.

In combination with an Omni system, the Specs IC can be used to make multiple wheelchair functions accessible via a single switch. Examples include switching between drive modes, operating actuators, or accessing secondary wheelchair functions. The switch is also suitable for use with RBI modules (Remote Button Interface), enabling external wheelchair functions to be activated in a simple and easily accessible way.

Compared to the previous Specs model, which was supplied as separate articles per color, the Specs IC is now delivered as standard with multiple interchangeable color caps. This eliminates the need to stock multiple color variants and allows one switch to be used in a wide range of situations or by different users. This makes inventory management more efficient, especially for care institutions and professional suppliers.

The switch has a compact design and can easily be mounted on a table, wheelchair, or other surface. Thanks to the standard 3.5 mm mono connector, the Specs IC is compatible with most switch interfaces, wheelchair modules, and communication devices.
