R-net Power module PM120 max. 120A

The R-net Power Module 120A, part number D50600, is the generic version of the 120A drive module in the R-net control system from Penny & Giles (PG Drives Technology). It is designed for powered wheelchairs with high current demands, such as heavy-duty use, steep terrain, or larger motors.

The D50600 provides a peak drive current of 120 amps and supports control of brakes, actuators, and lighting. It is fully compatible with standard R-net components such as joystick modules, displays, and switches.

Generic vs. brand-specific
There are also brand-specific versions of the 120A power module:

˃         PM120 – D50946 used in Permobil wheelchairs

˃         PM120 – D50903 used in Quickie wheelchairs

These modules support Assignable Buttons – functions that can be mapped to external switches via configuration. In systems using such advanced switch functionality, the D50600 is not a suitable replacement.

However, in standard drive-only configurations, the D50600 can often serve as a compatible and cost-effective alternative.

Smart module memory and programming

A copy of the driving profile is stored within the power module itself. This allows easy replacement of connected R-net modules (e.g. joystick, display, or lighting module) without the need for reprogramming.
Note: Replacing the power module does require programming equipment to reinstall the drive settings.
