The R-net ASM (Advanced Stability Module) is a sophisticated stability sensor that uses accelerometer technology to monitor and support turning stability in powered wheelchairs. It is especially designed for fast front-wheel drive models, where the risk of instability during cornering is higher.
When the ASM detects that the wheelchair is approaching a potentially unstable situation while turning, it automatically limits the turning speed as long as the joystick remains deflected. This reduces the risk of loss of control or tipping without requiring the user to release the controls.
For optimal safety and performance on fast front-wheel drive wheelchairs, it is recommended to combine the R-net ASM with the Enhanced Front Wheel Drive (eFWD) software algorithm.
The ASM integrates seamlessly with the R-net system and is compatible with all standard R-net control modules.
