The Dynamic DX-REM48A REV C is a Master Remote for power wheelchairs equipped with a Dynamic DX control system. This Plus version forms the user interface of the wheelchair control system together with a DX power module, such as the DX-PMB.

The DX-REM48A offers two additional connections for external switches alongside the standard controls. This allows users with limited hand function to operate the wheelchair using an additional on/off switch or function switch.

The REV C version is the improved generation within the REM48A series. Due to its enhanced hardware capabilities and increased programming options, this version is suitable for a wide range of Dynamic DX configurations.

Refurbished modules receive a second life with us. Before a module is supplied again, it is technically inspected and reconditioned where required.

We check, among other things, the operation of the joystick, keypad, charging connector and the overall condition of the module. We also verify that the version and internal configuration correspond with the type being supplied.

REV C version

The Dynamic DX-REM48A REV C is the later version of the REM48A series. Compared with older REV A versions, this version offers more configuration and programming possibilities.

A REV C Master Remote can be used as a replacement for an older REV A version. The opposite is not always possible, especially on power wheelchairs with multiple electric functions or more complex configurations.

Connections and functions

The Dynamic DX-REM48A REV C features:

• 16-button control via keypad;
• LED indicators for the different functions;
• LED battery indicator;
• two connections for external switches with 3.5 mm jack connectors.

The external switch connections are intended for:

• on/off operation;
• navigating through wheelchair functions, such as driving profiles or lighting (depending on the configuration).

The functions of these switch inputs are predefined and cannot be freely assigned.

Programming and replacement

The DX-REM48A REV C Master Remote is part of a complete Dynamic DX wheelchair control system. After replacement, the module must be programmed for the specific power wheelchair.

The configuration from the original controller can often be transferred and programmed into the replacement Master Remote.

We can assist with this process if the original controller is sent to us.

If programming in advance is required, we need information such as:

• front-wheel or rear-wheel drive;
• maximum wheelchair speed;
• available electric functions, such as:
• backrest adjustment;
• tilt adjustment;
• seat lift;
• leg rest adjustment.

Full programming and configuration require Dynamic Wizard software. This software is intended for dealers and specialised technical service providers and is not available for private users.

The Dynamic DX-REM48A was widely used on power wheelchairs equipped with Dynamic DX control systems.

This Master Remote was used on various models from the Puma series, including the Puma, Puma 20 and Puma 40.

Actual compatibility depends on the complete wheelchair configuration and the installed Dynamic DX modules.
